Women’s honey cooperative registers in Makwanpur
Two hundred and twelve women beekeepers now own a registered cooperative that processes, labels and sells their honey.
The Mahuri Palan women’s honey cooperative received its registration certificate this month. Its 212 founding members manage more than 900 hives between them.
The cooperative will run a shared extraction and bottling room and sell under its own label at district markets and online.
